Filippo has an Engineering degree from the University of Bologna, and an MBA from Bocconi University.
From 1983 to 1985 he was CEO of Alfa Gas and later on he became the investment manager of Euroventures, a private equity fund.
From 1988 to 1990 he was Deputy Head of Corporate Finance in Eptaconsors.
Filippo has also been CEO of Akros Merchant and board member of the New York based private equity fund First Atlantic Capital.
In 1997 he co-acquired Air Dolomiti, which was later on listed on the Italian Stock Exchange; he was on the board of the company until 2003.
In 1999 he founded Investindustrial Spa, and was its president until 2013.
In 2015 Filippo joined Vector WM, where he is the President of the Board of Directors.
Filippo is also shareholder and board member of Gambero Rosso and Class Editori.
Among others, he has also been president of PCCR Chemical Inc., and has sat on the board of Humanitas, Sirti, Italmatch Chemical and Stroili.
