After graduating from Bocconi, Riccardo began his long portfolio management career in 1981, at Indosuez, to become one of the first professional managers in Italy a year later, joining the management team dedicated to mutual funds promoted by the IMI group.

In 1990 he moved to London with INVESCO Asset Management where he held the role of CIO for various entities of the company. From 2004 to 2009 he was in Kuwait as Head of Global Markets and Investments for the Gulf Investment Corporation, the fund of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Upon his return to Italy, he held roles as Investment Director at Banca Leonardo and Banca Akros, continuing from 2018 as an investment advisor to various Italian and foreign institutions. Since 2023 he has been responsible for investments at Agenda Invest AG, now merged into Vector WM.
